A common passion for security excellence

ThreatSabre was born from a shared vision among two industry veterans, Peter Saunders and Tim Morris, who collectively bring more than 35 years of experience delivering complex cybersecurity outcomes with Fortinet technologies. Their journey began in different corners of the IT world, but a common passion for security excellence and customer success brought them together to build ThreatSabre.

Peter Saunders, now CEO, spent a decade as Fortinet's New Zealand Country Manager, building deep relationships and helping organisations achieve the best possible outcomes with Fortinet security solutions. Tim Morris, the CTO, has 18 years in network security and a proven track record of innovation, including developing MSSP solutions and driving automation through APIs.

Together, they saw a gap in the market: businesses needed a smarter, more automated way to manage and optimise their security investments. That insight led to the creation of ThreatSabre's SaaS platform, a solution designed to simplify complex security operations and help organisations stay ahead of new threats. Built with automation at its core, the platform uses APIs and advanced workflows to cut manual effort and help customers get more from their security infrastructure.

With a team that understands both the technical and business sides of cybersecurity, ThreatSabre works to make security simpler and more effective for organisations across New Zealand and beyond.

Peter Saunders

Chief Executive Officer & Co-founder

Peter Saunders has built a distinguished career in sales and business development, working with leading technology companies such as IBM and Fortinet. During his time at IBM in both the United Kingdom and New Zealand, he developed a reputation for building strong customer relationships and delivering exceptional business outcomes.

Peter later joined Fortinet, where he was appointed New Zealand Country Manager. Over 10 years in this role, he played a pivotal part in helping customers achieve the best possible results with Fortinet's solutions. His ability to foster trust and create long-term partnerships made him a highly respected figure in the cybersecurity industry.

Today, Peter is the CEO and Co-founder of ThreatSabre, leading the company from its development phase into a period of rapid growth. Known for his passion for delivering outstanding customer outcomes, Peter continues to be a trusted and influential voice in the New Zealand IT industry.

Tim Morris

Chief Technology Officer & Co-founder

Tim Morris is a seasoned network security professional with over 18 years of industry experience. He has spent the past 12 years working extensively with Fortinet solutions, including a decade in-house at Fortinet.

Before joining Fortinet, Tim played a pivotal role in developing a Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP) product within a local Telco/MSSP, showcasing his ability to innovate and deliver security solutions at scale. At Fortinet, he served as the New Zealand Engineering Manager, partnering with local customers to implement and optimise their investments in Fortinet technologies.

Today, Tim is the Chief Technology Officer at ThreatSabre and leads the platform development team, driving innovation and ensuring the platform keeps improving. He is passionate about security automation and continually looks for ways to use APIs to streamline processes and enhance cybersecurity efficiency.
